# Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing Incandescent Consulting. We stand behind the quality of our services and want every client engagement to be a success. Because we primarily provide professional consulting services rather than physical goods, this policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and (where applicable) returns of materials are handled.

## 1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- **Consulting services** — advisory engagements, workshops, coaching sessions, and retainers purchased through incandescent.us.
- **Digital products** — reports, templates, toolkits, or course materials delivered electronically.
- **Physical materials** — printed workbooks, books, or merchandise shipped to you (if applicable).
## 2. Terms of Return and Refund Eligibility

Retainer clients may terminate per the notice period in their service agreement; any prepaid, unused fees for future months will be refunded in full.
## 3. Condition of Returned Items
- **Physical materials** must be returned unused, in their original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.
- **Digital products** are eligible for refund only if they are materially defective, were misrepresented, or were not delivered. Because digital files cannot be "returned," we reserve the right to decline refunds where the product has been substantially downloaded or used, except in cases of defect.
- **Services already rendered** (completed sessions, delivered work product) are non-refundable, except as described in Section 4.
## 4. Accepted Reasons for Return or Refund
We will issue a refund or replacement when:
- A physical item arrives **damaged or defective**, or the **wrong item** was shipped.
- A digital product is **corrupted, inaccessible, or materially different** from its description.
- A scheduled service was **not delivered** as agreed, or we cancel an engagement.
- A service engagement **fails to meet the agreed scope or deliverables** outlined in your statement of work. In this case, we will first offer to remedy the shortfall at no charge; if we cannot, we will refund the affected portion of fees.
Refunds are not provided for change of mind after services have been delivered, or for outcomes that depend on factors outside our control (e.g., business results following advisory work).
## 5. How to Initiate a Return or Refund
1. **Contact us** at **support@incandescent.us** (or via the contact form at incandescent.us/contact) within the applicable window above. Please include your name, order or invoice number, the item or service in question, and the reason for your request.
2. **For physical returns**, we will reply within **2 business days** with a Return Authorization and shipping instructions. Please do not ship items back without authorization. Return shipping is at our expense for damaged, defective, or incorrect items; otherwise the client covers return shipping.
3. **For service or digital refunds**, a member of our team will review your request and respond within **3 business days**, and may follow up to better understand the issue.
## 6. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are issued to the **original payment method** (credit card, ACH, or wire as applicable).
- Refunds are processed within **5–10 business days** of approval (or, for physical items, of our receipt and inspection of the returned item). Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.
- Invoiced clients will receive a credit memo and refund by ACH or check within **10 business days**.
- If the original payment method is unavailable, we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
## 7. Exchanges and Credits
In lieu of a refund, you may opt for a **service credit** of equal value toward a future engagement, workshop, or product, valid for **12 months** from the date of issue.
